Alec’s Training Tip of the Month
Teach your dog to run after and retrieve a ball! Start with 3 tennis style balls, get your dog’s attention before throwing the first ball, and then throw the first ball. After your dog has it in his mouth, get your dog’s attention on the second ball in your hand. Once your dog gets excited about the second ball, they will most likely run to you with the first ball in their mouth. Wait patiently until your dog drops the ball in the mouth and then immediately reward the drop with the throw of the third ball. Continue this cycle until your pooch is worn out with a happy doggie grin!
