Our silly Chance is a puppy trapped in a senior dog's body. Whenever we're not looking, we can hear Chance rolling around on his back and flinging his beloved stuffed toys into the air. Chance found himself at the shelter where it was highly likely he would be euthanized due to his age and badly-healed fracture to his leg. But his big, sad eyes were too much and we couldn't bear to leave him.
Chance is now one of our most spoiled dogs who will surprise you with his energy. Watch out squirrels! Chance pulls us down the hill chasing after bunnies, birds, and all kinds of critters. He loves to bury his nose into a rabbit hole to see what's inside and will come out with a nose full of dirt.
Chance takes a while to gain new peoples' trust, but once he does, he will not let you go! Whenever his favorite volunteers or staff members are present, you can hear Chance crying and whining for all the attention he can get. Tummy rubs are among his favorite pastimes and his kennel is filled with as many toys as it can hold. If you would like to give our Chance a chance, please fill out an online application.
